Picture this: flat sales, inquisitive shareholders, dried-up cash flow disgruntled customers What a great day to take over the company!

As the business simulation begins, teams of four players, guided by a facilitator buy the Zodiak Company. In the simulation they invest their own money. Attract investors. Sign for a bank loan. then the fun really begins as they spend an actiontraining packed three years (in simulation time) selling products and services, collecting receivables, tackling business problems, investing in new products and fielding shareholders’ questions.

Million-dollar chips flow on the game board as players implement strategies to turn the company around. Terms like cash flow, profit margins, return on equity, cost of goods sold, assets and many more come vividly to life. By “running their own company”, Zodiak participants experience dramatic “discovery” learning that will change the way they view your business.

The action continues after the simulation with a powerful series of “Connections” that challenge learners to connect their Zodiak experience and new financial literacy to their own organisation’s financial and strategic issues. Employees and managers leave with a new understanding of the “business” of their business and an action plan to impact the bottom line.

	Understand the importance of monitoring cash flow
	Explain the impact of product discounting and/or price increase on profitability

	Assess the impact of staffing and training decisions
	Identify criteria for making better investment decisions and improve processes
	Manage external contractors and suppliers
